Shuochao CNC Equipment Co., Ltd. has delivered multiple CNC gantry drilling & milling machines to a customer in Luoyang, China, where the equipment has been successfully installed and put into operation for the high-precision drilling of large bearings used in wind power and tunnel boring machine applications.

The machines, featuring travels of 6.5 m and 7.5 m, are mainly used for the drilling and milling of large ring components such as wind turbine bearings and tunnel boring machine (TBM) bearings. The project represents a typical application of Shuochao CNC equipment in the heavy-duty bearing manufacturing sector.

The customer currently operates more than ten Shuochao CNC gantry drilling & milling machines with travels ranging from 5 m to 8 m, forming a large-component machining system centered on Shuochao equipment. The machines are primarily used for high-precision drilling of large circular workpieces, consistent multi-hole batch production, and stable operation under long-term heavy-load conditions.

Designed for demanding industrial use, the machines adopt reinforced heavy-duty structures and optimized configurations for high-load machining. Under continuous production conditions, the equipment maintains stable machining accuracy at the ±0.02 mm level, with hole position consistency controlled within 0.015 mm, meeting the requirements of wind power and TBM bearing manufacturing.
